Lena Fisher is trapped. Her job is a dead end. Her boss, mobster Nick Morrelli abuses her. So when the chance comes to split with a million dollars of his cash, she takes it. With Nick's henchman Charlie hot on her tail, Lena drives south toward Mexico. She never makes it.
Charlie catches up with Lena at "Eddie's Diner-Eats" in a forgotten town along the way. Seconds from murdering her, Charlie is killed by Eddie, the diner owner with a questionable past of his own. More suspicious characters arrive and Lena and Eddie soon discover they can only trust each other. But, more killings follow and the trust between Lena and Eddie erodes. Is Eddie a pawn in Lena's master plan or just the onlooker of a victim caught in her own trap?
